BURY'S Marks and Spencer store has had an official "re-opening" after a £370,000 revamp.
And long-serving staff shared the limelight during the ceremony to mark the completion of the new-look store.
Helping to cut the ribbon at the shop in The Haymarket were dedicated staff members Linda Quarmby and Marlene Gardiner, both from Bury, Carolyn Preece of Radcliffe and Bronwyn Langley from Heywood.
They have a combined total of 85 years of service and were specifically selected to take part in the ceremony, along with store manager Kathryn Millburn.
Other attractions at the event included a town crier, food tasting and the presentation of bouquets of flowers to the first customers through the door.
The transformation of the popular store included re-vamped fitting rooms, new lighting, flooring, improved shopping lay-out alongside the arrival of new clothing ranges.
