JEFF KENNA'S former Blackburn team mates may be celebrating a Worthington Cup win but the full back has a more pressing concern - stopping fellow Republic of Ireland international Alan Moore.
All eight of the Burnley winger's caps were won alongside Kenna who has played 27 times for his country.
But it became increasingly obvious throughout this season that Kenna had no future at Ewood Park. Firstly he went out on loan to Wigan Athletic before joining Steve Bruce at St Andrews last month.
With Rovers in danger of an immediate return to Nationwide Division One, Kenna's target is the Premier League with his new side currently six points behind sixth paced Coventry City but with two games in hand.
Kenna made more than 150 league appearances for Blackburn Rovers in seven seasons but barely featured last season.
Tonight he will be up against a man who has now scored five goals in his first season in the claret and blue with Saturday's goal at Crewe his best.
With Gareth Taylor being asked to play as a lone striker, the onus is on Moore and Glen Little to get forward and support him.
The Irishman's battle with Kenna could be a key feature of the Turf Moor clash.
