PRESTON went from wonderland to blunderland in the space of six days.

And for keeper Tepi Moilanen, it was case of going from hero to zero as a 'what happened next' error effectively put North End out of the game.

With 10 minutes to go and 1-0 down, Graham Alexander sent a pass back towards Tepi, who appeared to under no pressure.

The Finnish international appeared to attempt to control the ball, missed it as it rolled under his foot and over the goal-line.

North End had gone a goal down on the hour.

Substitute Alex Notman crossed the ball to Andy Roberts who headed home from six yards.

North End's misery was compounded three minutes from time when Phil Mulryne added a third.

For Preston, it was an amazing fall from grace. Six days ago, they had wooed the nation with a performance worthy of premiership status against Chelsea.

One trip to the Med on and North End looked a shadow of their Stamford Bridge selves.

As David Moyes said, the play-offs seem further away than ever.
