THE popular Pendle Jazzmen will be recording part of their second album live at the Whitchaff Inn in Bury Road, Rawtenstall, on March 8.
The group play each month at the pub on the second and fourth Fridays and on alternate Fridays they can also be heard in Rossendale, at the Holden Arms, in Grane Road, Haslingden.
Part of the new album will be recorded in studio conditions on March 8 and part will be recorded live during the performance from 8pm to 11.15pm.
The recording will be undertaken by a professional sound engineer who has his own label and specialises in working with traditional jazz bands.
The album will be released in late May and will be mainly in CD form but it is hoped some cassettes will also be produced.
