BLACKBURN Rovers officials were in Sheffield this morning to attend a special hearing in regard to Hakan Unsal's work permit application.
Manager Graeme Souness is hoping to sign the Turkish international full-back in time to play against Bolton on Saturday.
But Rovers must first persuade a specially-convened panel that he is worthy of a permit after his initial request was rejected due to the fact he has not played in 75 per cent of his national side's games due to injury over the last two seasons.
An answer is expected sometime tomorrow.
