A REUNION is being planned for former students who attended Nelson Grammar School in the 1950s.
One of the organisers, the Rev David Wiseman, minister of Bamford Chapel, a United Reform Church at Rochdale, said: "We have already contacted over 50 of the 90 pupils but there a few we are still trying to trace."
Mr Wiseman said they were trying to contact those who entered the Grammar School in 1951.
He said: "These include Sheila Ashworth, Pat Kayley, Kathleen West, David Goff, Rodney Hallam, Peter Robinson, Melvyn Snaith, Richard Sykes, Frank Starkie, Ian Wilson and Margaret Lord."
Mr Wiseman can be contacted at the Manse, Norden Road, Bamford, Rochdale, tel. 01706 627522.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 20, at Nelson Cricket Club.
Mr Wiseman is well-known in the area. He is a long-time Burnley supporter and has written two books about Burnley Football Club, Up The Clarets and Vintage Clarets.
