A LANCASTER rower claimed the gold medal at a major national indoor event last week.
Hannah Parkinson, 17, rowed 2,000 metres on the Concept 2 Indoor Rower in 7 minutes 58.2 seconds to claim the prize in the North of England indoor rowing championship at Manchester's Commonwealth Games velodrome.
That puts Hannah joint first in the national Grand Prix points table going into the final round at Cardiff on March 2.
