LSA's men left themselves a very difficult task having conceded three goals in the first half hour of this Northern League Division One game.
However, shortly before the break Dave Robbins pulled one back when he deflected a penalty corner shot into goal. In the second half they produced a tremendous fightback and drew level with goals from Craig Nuttall, Richard McGee, and Tom Atkinson after Chester had added their fourth.
However, Chester won the game in the dying seconds with the LSA defence somewhat deflated.

THIS was a very tough match for Premier Division leaders Lytham and one that they were a bit lucky to win. Gilly Cooper slotted home a penalty stroke in the first half and Anne Preston added to it in the second. It all leads up to the vital match next Saturday at Ansdell Sports Arena when Lytham play Southport to decide the Lancashire Central Women's Association championship. They both have 43 points from 16 matches with Lytham having the slightly better goal average.
