A 21-year-old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with attempting to abduct children from a Darwen primary school.
The court heard that Mohammed Sidat allegedly gained entry to St Joseph's Primary School on Monday afternoon.
Sidat, of no fixed address, was also charged with breaching a condition of bail imposed by Burnley Crown Court, where he faces a charge of indecent assault on a seven-year-old boy, not to associate with children under the age of 16 unless supervised by an adult.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said he was unable to apply for bail because, despite the best efforts of social services and Communicare, who are involved with Sidat, it had not been possible to find a suitable address.
He said his client has a mental age of only 11 or 12 and asked the court to advise the prison authorities of his client's vulnerability.
Sidat was remanded in custody until March 6.
