CONGRATULATIONS to Blackburn Rovers for a tremendous performance, even though the TV pundits wrote us off before the game, saying that Spurs would be too strong for us and that they had better players.
I may be alone in this, but I doubt it -- if Glenn Hoddle was to offer a swap of Ferdinand and Sheringham for Cole and Jansen, or in fact any of his players for Gillespie, Duff, Dunn, Friedel, Johansson, Berg, Taylor, Bjornebye or our new young midfield hero, Hughes, Graeme Souness would probably laugh more than he did at five o'clock on Sunday evening.
It was great to hear Graeme talking with such passion, such genuine and honest emotion for the game he so obviously loves and to see the way he celebrated with his players and coaching staff, wanting everyone to be a part of and enjoy the success.
There are things that this man says and does that gives all Blackburn's true followers great hope for the club's future while he is here, which I hope will be a very long time.
I would also like to congratulate the fans as well for buying up our full ticket allocation.
I would also like to hope that a lot of those who made the long journey to Cardiff manage to make the slightly shorter journey to Ewood Park for the remaining games of the season.
The players did their part in giving us a terrific day out which I'm sure all who travelled to the very impressive Millennium Stadium as well as those who watched the game on TV will remember for a very long time.
And while it is great to be part of the more glamorous games like this one, I feel it's time for the less-regular supporters to give something back to the club and its players and now is an ideal time. Unfortunately, the one person missing who should have been in Cardiff to see his club win a major trophy and give some return for his massive investment and belief in his beloved club was the late Uncle Jack.
Why not do something that Uncle Jack unfortunately can't -- go and support for the rest of the season, then there may be even more special days out to enjoy like last Sunday.
