IMAGINE a young adult trying to find a new NHS dentist in Blackburn.
Given the government's concern over the dental health of adults and children in the North West, it might be assumed that the search would be quickly concluded. Not so.
We have been informed that only two dentists are accepting new clients. However, they have to be charge exempted -- that is, have a valid reason why they should not pay.
How has this appalling situation been reached when we are supposed to have access to a health service that is free to all? Is the only solution to agree to pay, even if the person genuinely cannot afford to?
