NEXT month's 'Battle of the Borough' Challenge Cup tie between Leigh Centurions and Wigan Warriors will be an all-ticket affair at Hilton Park.
Official confirmation of the ticket-only tie came after Centurions' bosses met with safety chiefs from Wigan Council.
The game will NOT be screened live by BBC TV and will go ahead on Sunday, March 17, kick off 3pm.
Although arrangements still have to finalised, Leigh expect to be granted a Hilton Park safety certificate for 10,000. Tickets are expected to go on sale both at Hilton Park and the JJB Stadium sometime next week.
Leigh chairman Mike Nolan said: "Provided we carry out one or two minor jobs on the ground, then we're likely to get a certificate for 10,000."
Under Rugby League bye-laws Leigh are duty bound to make one-third of the tickets available to Wigan. On a 10,000 capacity that would mean 6,000 to Leigh and 4,000 to the Warriors.
Leigh's progress to the last eight means the postponement of another NFP game - the match at Gateshead scheduled for the day of the quarter-final. The Centurions now have three away games - Swinton, Hull KR and Gateshead - to rearrange.
