FIVE Burnley youngsters will tuck into tea on the terrace of the House of Lords next week when they travel to Westminster to receive a personal "thank you" from Lord Tony Clarke.
Lord Clarke headed the Task Force inquiry into last summer's racially motivated disturbances in the town.
The group includes three youth members of the Task Force, Alec Mitchell, Charlotte O'Horo and Nasir Ilyas and two youngsters rewarded for their top performances in the Sheriff of Lancashire's young citizens' awards for services to the local community, Kirsty Sagar and Lisa-Marie Flynn.
They will be met by Lord Clarke who will take them for a tour of Westminster before taking tea on the terrace.
Lord Clarke said: "The Task Force relied completely on the enormous commitment of Burnley people to create a new future for the town.
"These young people gave their time, enthusiasm and very practical advice. Their contribution was invaluable."
