SEVEN people were injured after a teenage driver lost control of a stolen vehicle and collided with another car and pedestrians.
The 15-year-old was arrested following the collision at 6pm last night at the junction of Blackburn Road and Oxford Street in Accrington.
The stolen Peugeot 206 carrying four passengers collided with a Citroen Picasso driven by Louis Kennedy, 39, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
One pedestrian, Deborah Stevenson, 34 of Burnley Road, Accrington was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. A second pedestrian, Margaret Marsden, 57, of Haywood Close, Accrington, was treated for severe bruising to both legs.
And the passenger of the Citroen car, Nora Cranny, 55, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, suffered a suspected chest fracture and was taken to hospital. Two ambulances attended the scene and the four passengers in the stolen car required treatment.
A police spokesman said the Peugeot 206 had been stolen and they were due to interview the driver and passengers today.
