HOT turnover has taken on a new meaning at a thriving Bury bakery.
And it's all thanks to the hard-working staff at Greenhalgh's in the town's Princess Parade.
The Bury branch emerged as a winner by beating all other Greenhalgh's outlets to win a recent "best shop" in-house competition.
Manager Mrs Ann Taylor has been presented with £500 of holiday vouchers to mark her shop's outstanding achievement.
She said: "The best shop competition was based on a number of things including our turnover, presentation, stock and decoration. We were checked on virtually everything.
"We also had the best increase in sales during that particular period."
Ann is well-known to many shoppers throughout the Bury area.
She was manageress at the Co-op's Bury branch in Kay Gardens before its closure, and has held the same post at Greenhalgh's since it opened in the town 14 years ago.
Commenting on the competition win, Ann paid tribute to the hard work of the 17 full-time and part-time staff.
"This was a team effort," she stressed. "We are all very pleased.
"So far, I've no idea where I'll be going on holiday."
