AN inquest was opened and adjourned into the death of a man who was found dead in his car a week ago.
The hearing at Burnley Magistrates Court heard Darren Thomas Booth, 36, of Rostrons Buildings, Rawtenstall, was found by a local farmer with a pipe connected to the exhaust of his car pushed through the window.
Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive him.
Police also found a number of pills in the car next to Mr Booth. A post mortem examination was carried out.
Acting East Lancashire coroner Richard Taylor adjourned the inquest for toxicology results.
