A MOTORIST had to scramble from his car after it skidded on ice and flipped it on its side.
Firefighters said the driver lost control of his four-wheel vehicle as he approached a roundabout, in Blackburn Road, near the Hoghton Arms, Wheelton around 7am today.
Two crews attended -- one from Blackburn and one from Bamber Bridge -- as well as the Incident Support Unit from Chorley.
The driver, who had pulled himself out of the car by the time they arrived, was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary although his injuries are not thought to be serious.
