PLEASE do not close St Paul's School in Ramsbottom.
I have two children attending the school and would be deeply upset at having to uproot them and settle them into a new school environment. It would be like splitting up a family. Closure would not only unsettle the children but would jobs be found for the teachers and staff?
I chose to send my children to St Paul's school because I wanted them to attend a church school; it has a friendly family atmosphere; small classes; friendly staff; the education is excellent; it is close to the playgroup where I work and from where some children transfer to St Paul's; and my relatives attended.
The school stages many excellent events, such as a wonderful pantomime every year which all the school takes part in; walks for all to enjoy; pub quizzes for parents; musical evenings; and PTA discos etc. to raise money for such things as the new computer room and equipment.
I say again: please do not close St. Paul's.
