I LIVE in Blackburn, but prefer to shop in Manchester or the Trafford Centre as Blackburn town centre at present is a mess, with many derelict buildings and poor choice of shops.
Lord Square is one of the places I don't like. Those floor tiles are slippery in wet weather; the buildings look half-demolished anyway and there are only a couple of shops -- which does not bring many shoppers in.
Besides, it spoils the new look of Church Street. Walk round the corner and there is Lord Square -- what a sight.
I say demolish it and start from scratch to blend it in with the new look of Church Street.
