NEIL and Christine Hamilton faced some awkward questions in East Lancashire last night during a gala dinner at St Mary's Chambers in Rawtenstall.
The pair, who were recently subject to a fly-on-the-wall documentary by cult filmmaker Louis Theroux, spoke about their life in the media spotlight before taking questions from more than 120 people who enjoyed the sell-out £45-a-head night.
The couple, who still have a home in Tatton, Cheshire, where Neil was formerly MP, answered questions about their experience of Harrod's boss Mohammed Al Fayed and the famous 'Cash for Questions' scandal, as well as their recent arrest following a false sex allegation.
The event was organised by St Mary's Chambers as part of a calendar of events for 2002, which includes a dinner with special guest and former Kray associate 'Mad' Frankie Fraser in May.
