FOUR people who were arrested in a house after a known heroin user was found dead have been released without charge and police said no further action will be taken.
Police were called by paramedics who found the body of Simon Andrew Crawforth, 25, of Greave Close, Rawtenstall, in the living room of a terraced house in Bacup Road, Rawtenstall at 6pm on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman said: "He is a known heroin user and there were no signs of violence on his body, but items were found in the house and scenes of crime officers attended."
Four people, two men and two women, who were in the house at the time were initially arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs but have not been released.
A post mortem examination yesterdayfound no indication of a cause of death and so samples have been sent away for toxicology reports.
Acting East Lancashire coroner Richard Taylor has been informed.
