WORKED hard for 35 to 40 years? Paid full contributions, paid also for a company pension?
Looking forward to retirement when you will have more time and more money to do what you want?
Forget it. You will be expected to subsidise your state pension with your company pension. You will also be expected to use your hard-earned savings for everyday living.
And, if you have savings over a certain amount, you will get no benefits at all. And, on top of everything else you will be taxed. You will pay council tax, dental charges, optical charges -- all this for not being a burden on the state.
On the other hand, if you had turned over in bed, you will be eligible for all benefits going. Oh what a fool I have been for working!
It's time the workers and retired workers, and not the shirkers, were given first priority in this country.
