POLICE are hunting a driver who failed to stop after being involved in a collision with a boy, aged 10, in Atherton.
This incident occured at about 8.55am today, on Formby Avenue, close to the Hag Fold Working Men's Club.
A white Renault Laguna travelling along Devonshire Road was in collision with the boy who was crossing the road at the time
The boy was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be serious.
The vehicle failed to stop at the scene. The driver is described as a white male in his 30s with brown or back hair and was wearing a black jacket.
Traffic Officers at Leigh want to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information on the identity of the driver.
