AN East Lancashire charity is looking to recruit volunteers to support families with young children.
Burnley's Home-Start initiative, which began in 1999, is designed to enable parents to cope with the pressures they are facing and reduce the potential for family crisis and breakdown.
Volunteers get immense rewards by being invited to share experiences with a family as they find their way through early parenthood.
Anyone interested is invited to attend at 40-hour course to prepare them for the work.
The course will be spread over a ten-week period with ongoing training and support readily available.
Volunteers in the scheme can also expect a busy social life with lots of events regularly planned.
The next taster day for prospective volunteers will be on Wednesday, March 13, at the Enterprise Centre, Valley Street, Burnley.
People who are interested in helping, or those seeking further information before the taster day, should call Carol or Alison on 01282 473928.
