NELSON produced a solid performance to earn a share of the points at Harrison Park in the NWCL Division Two.
The Blues showed plenty of attacking ideas in the first half and came close to scoring with headers from Kieran Roberts and John Whiteside.
Nelson's defence however, struggling to cope with the lively Leek attack on a slippery pitch and conceded a goal after 36 minutes.
Leek's Lee Fower once again lost his markers on the right wing and finished with a low shot past Mark Canning just inside the far post to give his side the lead.
Nelson took control after the interval and created a series of chances without finding a good finish.
On the hour, Canning made a vital save to prevent Fower from extending Leek's lead and, as play switched to the other end of the field, Stuart Mulligan levelled the scores with an angled drive which took a deflection and looped over the keeper into the net.
Micky Bartholomew had chances to snatch all three points for Nelson but Leek staged an all-out assault on the Blues goal in the last five minutes and a draw was a fair result.
