PUPILS from two East Lancashire schools are hoping to clean up in a competition to design a range of new litter bins.
The youngsters, from St Bede's High School, Blackburn, and Barden High School, Burnley, said they hoped their efforts would encourage their friends to be tidier.
The winning designs were being selected today at an event at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. The successful teams will each receive a prize of gift vouchers and art products.
The competition is part of the university's Higher Education into Schools project.
