RAIDERS made a smooth getaway with stacks of razor blades and batteries worth up to £100,000.
Detectives hunting the gang who carried out the planned burglary from a warehouse in Porrit Street, Bury, are appealing for help from traders who may have been offered some of the stolen items.
Around 5,000 boxes of Gillette ladies razor blades were taken, together with a vast number of Linx men's triple razor blade packs, and sets of Duracell batteries. The incident happened on Friday (March 1).
It is believed the thieves used a forklift truck to load up a waiting lorry.
Detective Constable John Andrew, of Bury CID, said he wanted to hear from any traders who may have been offered items of a similar description.
Anyone who can help trace the stolen items or witnessed any suspicious movements in Porrit Street should contact CID on 856-8150.
