THE Pendle Jazzmen are to record their second album on Friday combining a live performance at the Whitchaff Inn, Bury Road, Rawtenstall, with studio recordings.
The band, formed more than 20 years ago, decided it was time to release a new compilation of jazz favourites.
Band administrator Colin Mason said: "It will be nice to have a compromise between the extra bits and bats of a live performance and the quality of the studio, so this CD should be very popular."
The performance will start at 9pm and will involve recording around 16 tracks.
Whitchaff landlord, Barry Pilkington, said: "Its traditional jazz and its not available everywhere. It's the type of music our customers like and they seem to play so well here."
The band will perform twice monthly sessions on the second and fourth of the month and will also be appearing at the Conservative Club, Chorlton, on March 14 and at the Sparrow Hawk in Burnley on March 24.
The band can also be seen at the Holden Arms, Haslingden, on the first, third and fifth of each month.
