MORE than 8,000 turned up at Gigg Lane only to see Oldham snatch a draw with a goal in the last minute.
Oldham sub Colusso spoiled the party with the ever so late leveller.
Martyn Forrest gave Shakers a dream start with a 14th minute goal against Oldham at Gigg Lane.
It was his first goal in 77 games for the Shakers.
Manager Andy Preece's plea for a massive crowd to turn out and back the crisis club seems to have worked.
For the kick off was delayed until 8.10pm owing to crowd congestion!
The Shakers boss was hoping for a massive show of support to boost club coffers as they desperately try to raise the £400,000 needed to keep them in business for the rest of the season.
Bury's 117-year existence will come crashing to a halt if the money is not found by March 15, as creditors wait with a winding up order to recoup a £1million mortgage repayment.
Despite all the uncertainty, Preece's charges have managed to keep their heads above water in the Division Two relegation dogfight - a 2-0 win at mid-table Wycombe on Saturday lifting them five points clear of the drop zone.
"I think the players have done well and kept their focus," said Preece.
"They have put it to the back of their mind and we have always remained positive. I'm sure that going into administration is a positive move and that it will bring potential investors forward more quickly.
"It will make people more aware of the seriousness of the situation and anyone who thought we were just scare mongering before now know that we aren't."
