REGARDING Stephen Cummings' piece about Blackburn Rovers win at the Millennium Stadium (LET, February 26), his thanking God for our win for whatever reason does not ring true at all.
Shades of Pinocchio and noses growing spring to mind.
As for his statement about us playing in the First Division next season (we won't), making a fool of ourselves in Europe (we might), at least we will have the chance. When were Burnley last in Europe, Stephen?
Whilst we will have been in the Premiership and Europe twice, his beloved club have been languishing in the Second and First Division where they are 100 per cent certain to remain next season.
Tell me again about the best-supported club in Lancashire and what is it about sleeping giants?
Humbug, Mr Cummings, humbug!
