SCHOOL singers took on the top choirs in the North West in a bid to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.
The choir from St Christopher's High School, Accrington, was one of three which travelled to Rochdale to take part in the regional final of the Associated Board of Music contest.
The 35 singers, led by the school's head of music Helen Davies, must wait until April to see if they will be the North West's representatives in the national final in London.
Meanwhile, the school's jazz band, led by teacher Peter Elmer, took part in the orchestras section.
