RELEGATION-threatened Great Harwood were undone by four controversial decisions against the NWCL Division One league leaders.
After going 1-0 up with a 30-yeard Graham Lightbowne screamer, Prescot were awarded a penalty on their first real attack on 20 minutes.
The referee gave it for a handball on the edge of the box by Neil Baron when Prescot fired in a fierce drive.
"When I asked the referee about it he said he wasn't in a very good position to see it!" said boss Denis Underwood.
Five minutes later and Prescot took the lead after a quick break. The Harwood players felt the home team were clearly off-side but they scored and when Andy Clarkson confronted the linesman about the off-side decision, the Harwood battler was sent off.
Prescot's number three came again from the penalty spot after alleged pulling in the box just before half time.
"You get a lot of that in a game but once again the decision went against us," said Underwood. "When you are down there you don't seem to get the breaks as we have had just one penalty all season.
"And it is Andy's third sending off in ten games but it is just sheer frustration."
Harwood kept it tight in the second half and were only punished again five minutes from time with a breakway goal.
IN NWCL Division Two, the game between league leaders Stand and Alsager was postponed.
