Ashton Utd 2 Radcliffe Boro 1

BORO followed Saturday's 4-3 home win over Unibond Division One leaders Harrogate Town with a disappointing defeat at Ashton.

A tacky surface made passing football difficult although Boro did take the lead through Jody Banim on 27 minutes.

But the home side hauled themselves in front by half-time and held on for the win.

The joy was short-lived as United levelled from a free kick on 39 minutes and took the lead just before the interval. The second half saw Boro have the edge in terms of possession but lacking invention up front, Lee Kissock heading just wide with the best chance created. The Boro man of the match nomination went to keeper Danny Hurst.
