GOALKEEPER Paul Horridge keeps Ramsbottom United manager Mike Kelly waiting before naming his team for the game at Newcastle tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
Horridge has a groin injury and Neil Cassidy, a goalkeeping coach with Oldham Athletic and Stockport County who joined the Rams six weeks ago, stands by to deputise.
A big boost for United is that central defender Warren Brierley has resumed training with the Rams.
The former team captain suffered a serious knee injury last season and announced he was hanging up his boots, but has now had a change of heart.
"It's great to have Warren back, although I believe he has thrown his boots away!" said Kelly, who is also hoping to bring in one or two new players before the March 31 transfer deadline.
The Rams are one of 16 teams invited to play in the Bolton Hospitals Cup competition, which kicks off later this month and has its final at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium towards the end of the season.
The game at St Helens Town has been switched from Wednesday next week to Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
