PREGNANT women are being urged to quit smoking in time for Mother's Day on Sunday (March 10).
A new help guide, produced by the Smoking Control Network, has been backed by Bury MP David Chaytor.
He said the guide would be "an invaluable aid" to helping Bury women to quit, for their own sake and that of their children.
Entitled Helping women stop smoking: a guide for midwives, the guide is available from 0207 7312 3565.
THE NHS pregnancy smoking helpline, which is free and confidential, is 0800 169 9169 between 9am and 9pm every day.
