A 90-year-old woman fought back when she was attacked in the street by a handbag thief.
The pensioner struggled with her assailant but was knocked to the ground during the incident at 3.10pm on Friday (March 1) in Rectory Green, Prestwich.
Her attacker grabbed her bag and jumped into a waiting blue Vauxhall Nova, driven by an accomplice.
The thief is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, and wore a blue and black baseball cap.
The woman suffered minor grazing to her legs and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
