WHITEFIELD residents plagued by lengthy blackouts are still suffering from power cutsthree weeks after they were first plunged into darkness.
As reported last week, dozens of families in Philips Park Road West and Parkstone Avenue demanded action after suffering a series of power cuts lasting up to nine hours.
Electricity provider, United Utilities, put the problems down to a "transient fault" on a cable and said it was a case of trial and error before they could find out where the fault lay.
After their plight was highlighted last week, residents believed things were getting back to normal after five days went by without any problems.
But frustration returned after they suffered another blackout on Wednesday morning (March 6) which lasted a couple of hours.
Mrs Shelagh Brockbank said: "We were holding our breath thinking the power cuts had stopped but it hasn't changed at all really."
