AT last the rubbish on Gannow Lane has been removed, it has been there since November 2001. If you see people fly tipping please report them.
We also have two more grot spots on Back Rosegrove Lane and Metcalfe Street. People are using back yards as tips.
THE community wardens have written to United Utilities to clean up their plot of land on Gannow Lane (near Saltburn Street), which is a tip and the fencing is dangerous. The wardens are to organise a clean up shortly. Residents are asked to help, call at 2 Lowerhouse Lane for more information.
THE AGM for Rosegrove Action Group heard an appeal for more helpers.
The group has applied for a grant to fund the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and will be informed shortly if successful.
A brief talk was given on community profiling work that has been worked on in the past few weeks. Jonathan Gilbert and Howard Swift from Joined Up Thinking attended the meeting and gave a short presentation regarding a local areja worker for Rosegrove who will be employed in April/May.
THE peace garden on Rose-grove Lane has had some more gardening work carried out by Nick Williams' staff. The roses and bushes will soon be blooming. Our biggest problem in the garden is dog fouling, we have some very disrespectful dog owners and they know who they are. Please keep your dogs off!
THE Lowerhouse Lane canal bridge repairs should be completed soon after work lasting several months have been carried out to strengthen it. This will delight the local traders, who have lost a bit of trade during the work.
