A PINT which took a man over the limit had put his new job in jeopardy, Burnley Magistrates were told.
The court was told how Stephen Tann, 22, had put his first chance of employment since 1998 at risk.
Tann, of Victoria Street, Rawtenstall, admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £60, banned from driving for 12 months and must pay £35 costs.
The court was told the defendant was seen driving along Church Street, Burnley, in the early hours. He was stopped by police.
A roadside breath test proved positive. Bill Rawstron, defending, said Tann had had one pint but had then been having soft drinks.
