A BURNLEY man was found dead on the settee at a friend's house an inquest was told.
Glenn Kennedy, 28, of Chessington Green, Kibble Bank, Burnley, died at the home of a friend in Thurston Street, Burnley, on February 27.
At an inquest opening PC Bob Wilson, coroner's officer, said that when he went to his friend's Mr Kennedy was in a depressed state of mind.
He spent the evening talking and drinking. At 5.45am he fell asleep on the settee and at 8.30am it was clear something was wrong.
PC Wilson said they were awaiting the results of toxicology tests. Acting East Lancashire Coroner Richard Taylor adjourned the hearing pending the results.
