A BAKERY has gone into voluntary liquidation with the loss of nine jobs.
Radcliffe-based Lapgrand Ltd traded as Allbake at the town's Dale Industrial Estate.
Estimated losses for Allbake, which was formed in 1993, amount to £82,000.
The company had been involved in baking bread, fresh pastry and cakes mainly for retail outlets.
One of the main reasons for the closure was the previous expansion into five bakeries in national supermarkets and subsequent withdrawal, due to insufficient trading revenues.
Another factor was immediate future costs of property renovations to comply with ongoing health and safety regulations.
John Titley of Bury-based DTE Corporate Recovery and Insolvency Services has been appointed liquidator.
Two directors were among the nine-strong company.
