ROAD rage resulted in a man getting out of his car and punching a 41-year-old woman driver in the face at the junction of Oxford Square and Whitegate Drive, Blackpool.
The violent attack took place at 10pm on February 28 when a car pulled out in front of a lady driver as she was travelling down the busy main road and approaching traffic lights. This caused her to brake sharply and sound her horn.
While both vehicles were stopped at the traffic lights, a man got out of the car and approached the lady as she wound down her window. He shouted abuse at her and went on to punch her in the face before returning to his car and driving off.
The man is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and in his mid 20s. He was wearing a dark jacket and had short dark hair.
His car is described as a racing green coloured 'R' registered Ford Focus.
