PHIL Cushion is Swinton Lions' main doubt for the home game against Sheffield Eagles at Gigg Lane on Sunday (kick-off 3pm).

Second row forward Cushion picked up a knee injury in the 40-14 defeat at Doncaster last Sunday. "He twisted the knee and it is badly swollen," said Lions' coach Tony Humphries.

Full back Adam Hughes, stand off Rob Gallagher and prop Andy Leatham are also battling to throw off injuries, but Humphries reckons Gallagher and Leatham will definitely make it.

The effects of landlords Bury FC going into administration have been reverberating around the offices of Swinton RLFC too this week and Humphries added: "I am trying to keep the administration business away from the players as much as possible.

"There are a lot of rumours flying about. You don't know what to believe, but we are just trying to concentrate on the playing side.

"If we go into the game with the same attitude and spirit we showed at Doncaster, we shouldn't be far away from gaining our first league victory of the season," said Humphries.
