RAMSBOTTOM boss Mike Kelly has confirmed that Jamie Taylor has left the Riverside club.
The former Rochdale player walked out on Ramsbottom after being substituted during a league match last month and Kelly said he will not play again.
He said: "Jamie had a few indifferent performances and was substituted. He did not like the decision and has decided to leave the club."
Ramsbottom could be without number one keeper Paul Horridge for the trip to NWCL Division One rivals Newcastle Town.
Horridge, who is in his third spell at Ramsbottom, picked up a groin strain in the 0-0 draw against top-of-the-table Prescot Cables.
Kelly added: "Paul has been brilliant since he came back to the club. He had to wait his turn to get his chance but since coming in to the team in November he has made the number one jersey his own.
"I'm pleased for him and pleased for the club and hope he is fit."
Neil Smith is expected to deputise if Horridge misses out.
Kelly is hoping his side can reproduce the Prescot performance against Newcastle Town.
"We have taken four points off Prescot this season and always seem to be able to raise our game for the big matches. So it is frustrating when we can't do the same against the smaller clubs and that is why we are in the position we are."
