HOW can Mr Colin Cliffe, head teacher of St Andrew's, Ramsbottom, say he is happy to await the outcome of the councils's decision regarding St. Paul's, and believes this will have little effect on his school?
Wake up Mr Cliffe! If St Paul's is closed, where do you think the children are going to go? You will have to fit them in at your school and this will increase class sizes again.
Also, where is the support for St Paul's from St Andrew's. Would it not be more productive if both head teachers joined forces and let the council know that they will not be dictated to?
So come on Mr Cliffe, show some support. Both St Paul's and St Andrew's are good schools and an asset to Ramsbottom. So why should we sit back and allow one of them to close?
MRS J. NICHOLAS,
Whittingham Drive,
Ramsbottom.
