A MURDER hunt has been launched after a Prestwich father, who planned to get married later this year, was stabbed to death.
Nathaniel Jacobs suffered a number of stab injuries to his head and body in a frenzied knife attack at an office in Hulme on Wednesday afternoon (March 6).
Detectives sealed off the area for forensic examinations, as inquiries began to track down Mr Jacobs' killer.
Sources said Mr Jacobs, known as Nat to his friends, was a father to a 15-year-old boy and a two-year-old child and planned to marry his girlfriend in the summer. The 40-year-old former boxer, of Overbrook Drive, was found at 3.30pm on Wednesday when police were called to a disturbance at office premises in Chester Road, Hulme, where it is understood Mr Jacobs worked.
Mr Jacobs died from his injuries shortly after arriving at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
A post mortem was held yesterday on Thursday afternoon to formally establish the cause of death.
