THOUSANDS of pounds worth of drugs and property have been seized by police in a series of raids in the Burnley area in the last 12 months.
And police have pledged to continue the fight day and night to counteract drug-related crime with help of Burnley Residents Against Drugs.
The move follows the execution of a warrant by police officer at midnight on Wednesday on a house in Parliament Street, Burnley Wood.
No drugs or property were seized but one man was arrested on suspicion of another offence.
Inspector John Clucas said: "We are determined to crack down on drug-related crime and our fight against drugs goes on 24 hours a day.
"Over the past 12 months we have carried out scores of raids, resulting in the seizure of thousands of pounds worth of drugs and property.
"A significant amount of heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis has been taken off the streets and a number of offenders have been put behind bars.
"Much of that activity was generated, or at least backed up, by information received from the public and that flow of information is vital if we are to make real inroads into tackling drug crime.
"However, if we are to ask people to come forward with information, which is not always an easy or a popular thing for them to do, it is only fair that we listen to their information and, more importantly, take action.
"Sometimes that action doesn't lead to a huge drugs haul or a significant number of arrests but I am quite comfortable with that.
"The very fact that we have executed a warrant and will continue to execute warrants sends a very strong message out to the local community and actually helps to disrupt criminal activity."
Insp Clucas said more warrants would be executed over the coming weeks.
He said: "The buying, selling and use of drugs from people's homes in residential areas and the crime that this attracts will not be tolerated.
"Where we have good quality information, we will act on it, targeting suspects and putting them before the courts.
"If you have information about the use and sale of drugs in your area, please contact us. You can do this free and in confidence, by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
