OCTOBER, 2001: I went to see my GP regarding a knee replacement.
November 2001: I saw the specialist who said he would be able to perform an operation in February.
January 2001: I went into Blackburn Infirmary and had an operation earlier than expected.
I cannot speak too highly of the care I received from the staff of Ward 19 and the surgeon who cared for me, also the physiotherapist who gently cajoled me to bend my knee that little big further.
I have no complaints about the waiting list, only praise for the loving and devoted staff of Blackburn Infirmary.
