GRAEME West is hoping that Chorley Lynx can dispose of an unwanted record as they head to York Wasps tomorrow (3pm).
Chorley have not scored an away win since August 1999 but have a strong chance of ending that sequence against the struggling Wasps at Huntington Stadium.
For both the Lynx this is a must-win game as they try to pull away from the lower reaches of the league.
The Lynx are set to have utility player Ian Talbot back for the game, and Kiwi coach West has high hopes of curing that woeful record.
"It's certainly a record I would like to dispose of,'' he said.
Mike Prescott and Dave Stuart will also come back into the squad after being left out last weekend's 12-try hammering by championship hopefuls Leigh Centurion.
West is also hopeful that the club links with Warrington will produce at least two loan players in time for Sunday.
On the downside John Duffy and Phil Harrison have left the club having decided that their futures lie elsewhere.
Key half back Jon Liddell is ruled out of York's selection due to a one-match ban, as Aussie Leo Epifania searches for some welcome solace from this Southern Hemisphere battle of coaching wits.
Epifania also has the concern of being without centres Sean Austerfield
and Carl Hall, while winger Michael Forbes is also ruled out with an ankle injury.
"We can't afford to be without any of our experienced players,
especially for a game which I believe we can win,'' said the Wasps team
boss, whose side have now gone 28 NFP games without a victory.
Wasps do possess skilful players like Kiwi hooker Peter Edwards, who saw service with Salford in the Super League, and full-back Jamie Benn, who also played in the top flight with Castleford.
