COMMUNITY beat officer PC Andy Thornhill has drawn up a schedule of surgeries for local residents in his Burnley Wood area of the town.
Over the next few weeks he will be paying regular visits to four different venues to speak to residents about their concerns and offer crime prevention advice.
PC Thornhill said: "I took up this pose because I want to make a real difference to the local community and help the people living in it to crack down on crime.
"However, I can only do that if I am fully aware of the problems and have some indication of who is causing them so I am urging residents to come and see me.
"These surgeries have been specifically organised to give local people a chance to voice their concerns so I hope that people will come along and make the most of them."
